Dr Connick's research focuses on multiple sclerosis (MS) with two major themes. First, development of precision medicine for people with MS. This aims to deliver the right drug to the right person at the right time. Second, development of new measures to detect whether treatments are successful in both research and clinical practice, with a particular emphasis on new cognitive tests.
Dr Connick studied medicine at the University of Glasgow, before training in neurology in Cambridge, London and Norwich. Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh in 2012, he completed his PhD in Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge.
