We regret that at present, we are unable to accept summer interns, work experience or observational placements in the Clinic.
Regulations mean that these individuals are not permitted to interact with patients attending the Clinic. Unfortunately this means that the range of experiences that a student could gain within the Clinic itself are very limited.
The Anne Rowling Clinic hosts an annual Research Open Evening and we would encourage those who are interested to come along, to chat informally with researchers in a range of different fields. Open Evenings will be advertised on our Events page.
We are working with University of Edinburgh colleagues to identify opportunities in labs or other facilities that would provide an interesting and useful experience, and will update this page if suitable schemes become available.
Some current opportunities at the University of Edinburgh are:
- Edinburgh BioQuarter paid summer internship - opportunities for young people in our local community to develop employment skills
- Science Insights - annual summer programme for 5th year high school pupils
- Employ.Ed - summer internship scheme for University of Edinburgh undergraduates
