A fantastic number of visitors attended the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic's Research Open Evening on Wednesday 10 June. Patients, research participants, supporters, members of the public, and researchers came together for an evening of discovery, and conversation.
The event offered an opportunity for visitors to meet the researchers behind the research and learn more about efforts to improve the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), motor neuron disease (MND), and Parkinson's.
Throughout the evening, guests visited interactive research stands highlighting a wide range of projects currently underway across the Clinic. Researchers were on hand to explain their work, answer questions, and discuss how discoveries made are helping to shape future treatments and improve patient care.
A particular highlight of the evening was the opportunity to tour the laboratories. The tours proved extremely popular, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the facilities where innovative neurological research is taking place.
We were delighted to welcome so many people to the Clinic, said Riana, Research Practitioner and Open Evening organising champion.
The enthusiasm and interest shown by our visitors demonstrates the importance of sharing our research with the wider community.
The event generated lively discussion and provided an opportunity for researchers and members of the public to connect directly. Visitors learned about the latest developments in regenerative neurology, the challenges researchers are working to overcome, and the many ways people can support or participate in research.
On the night feedback from some of the guests included:
Very impressed by the depth of knowledge, professionalism & enthusiasm
Staff very friendly, approachable, explained in easy-to-understand language
The welcoming environment put me at ease
We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. We look forward to welcoming visitors again at future events and continuing to share the exciting progress being made at the Anne Rowling Clinic.
