Dr Neil Watson is an honorary clinical senior lecturer with The University of Edinburgh. His research background is in human prion disease, and he completed a doctoral research study validating the diagnostic criteria for sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. 

He contributes to studies concerning neurodegenerative disorders as well as being a keen medical educator.
