NeuroCARE is our digital platform that helps us design, shape, and deliver research led by the Anne Rowling Clinic. Since launching in January 2025, we’ve welcomed over 400 participants with MND, MS, Parkinson’s, and dementia, all of whom are contributing in a variety of valuable ways.
Why join NeuroCARE?
By joining NeuroCARE, you will:
- Receive updates about research studies and clinical trials relevant to your diagnosis
- Have opportunities to advise academic teams on study and trial design
- Be invited to take part in a range of in-house research activities
Research activities in NeuroCARE
Biosample donation
Donate samples such as blood or saliva. These samples allow us to process DNA, extract blood derivatives, and create stem cells so our collaborating scientists can learn more about your condition.
Voice Recordings
We are working with University spinout company SpeakUnique to advance speech-synthesis technology and explore whether voice patterns can help monitor or even predict disease progression.
Retinal Imaging
Using photographs of the retina (the back of your eye), we can compare retinal thickness across different conditions: an approach that may help create faster diagnostic tools in the future.
