Tanya Van Der Westhuizen

Tanya is a research practitioner in the clinic, currently in the process of obtaining a BSc (Hons) Health Science degree.
She has a previous background in working with a variety of patients in different specialities such as colorectal surgery, gastro-intestinal research, psychiatric care and NHS Lothian’s neurosurgery department. Tanya’s role in the clinic is to provide assistance in the recruitment of patients for research study visits and assist in data entry and follow-up visits. Tanya hopes that the development of new therapies and treatments will be beneficial to patients living with neurological conditions.
