Dr Hatice Bozkurt
Dr Bozkurt joined the Anne Rowling Clinic in 2022 as a clinical research fellow. She will be mainly working on MND-SMART, an adaptive, multi-arm, placebo-controlled clinical trial. She is also a part of the clinical research team working on investigating potential new drug therapies for people with multiple sclerosis. She has a particular interest in potential causes of neurodegenerative disorders, molecular and cellular mechanism underlying disease progression, and developing possible new therapies including a reverse engineering approach by using cell reprogramming technology.
Dr Bozkurt studied medicine at Istanbul University and completed her medical degree with distinction in 2017. Before moving to the University of Edinburgh, she worked as a clinician at different hospital settings of NHS, where she provided care for people with a variety of neurological disorders.
