Dr Hatice Bozkurt
Hatice studied medicine at Istanbul University, graduating with honours in 2017. Prior to her role at the University of Edinburgh, she worked as a dedicated clinician within NHS hospitals, offering care to those with diverse neurological disorders. In 2022, Hatice became a Clinical Research Fellow at theĀ Anne Rowling Clinic, immersing herself in trials related to neurodegenerative diseases. In 2023, she received the prestigious Rowling Scholarship, propelling her to a role as a Clinical PhD Fellow.
Currently, Hatice focuses on integrating biomarkers into trials to uncover the roots and mechanisms of neurodegeneration. As a clinician-scientist, she harmonises scientific exploration with practical application, engaging in both laboratory and clinical work to drive innovative therapies.
