Amy’s research interests are particularly focused on “personalised” and “preventative” medicine. She is part of a team of researchers focused on characterising individual profiles of relapsing-remitting MS in order to enable more targeted and effective approaches to prescribing treatments. Her work involves supporting the running and maintenance of clinical trials aimed at improving the lives of people living with MS.

Amy Stenson completed her BSc Sport and Exercise Science at Stirling University and MSc Clinical Exercise Science at Portsmouth University before working as a community physiotherapist for Southern Health NHS Trust. Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh in 2020, she was a Research Associate in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
