Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) clinic

A regular functional neurological disorder clinic that integrates clinical care with current research.

Members of the functional neurological disorder (FND) research group with NHS Lothian and the University of Edinburgh do some of their clinics at the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic to help integrate research and clinical practice. People seen at the Anne Rowling Clinic have all been referred by their GP for a specialist opinion on an NHS basis. It is expected that these referrals would be typically from the NHS Lothian catchment area. Unfortunately people living with FND from further afield cannot usually be seen. We do however recommend the FND Hope UK provider map for those looking for help from further afield. Please see the relevant link section below.

Research opportunities

The FND research group have various studies running at any one time. Clinicians will inform you if there is a study relevant to your condition that you may be interested in taking part in.
